Can Autism be Diagnosed with an EEG

My son had an abnormal EEG two years ago just after being diagnosed with Austim. The neurologist said that his EEG was typical for someone with Autism and that it meant he could have overwhelming mood swings... Your article clarified some of what he was saying... Also, the article regarding the new treatments available which help with anxiety and the tantrums are something I am going to ask our psychiatrist about tomorrow at his appointment because the typical stimulants and other medications have not helped...
